The Paladinos

Saturday, Gabby got to go to Little Rock for the first time for a Paladino get-together.  It was her first road trip and her first overnight stay away from the house at Papa Dino's, and she handled both really well.  Click here to see the rest of our pictures.

From the day Gabby was born, we've had people asking us who she looks like.  We still don't see a lot of our current features in her (other than Daddy's hairstyle), but it's interesting to compare baby pictures.  She certainly appears to have gotten her looks from her mom.

We had newborn pictures done with Bob Dyer last Saturday and have added a few of those pictures here.  Bob is the same photographer that did Leslie's maternity pictures.  We've really enjoyed working with him and have been extremely pleased with his work.

 

Gabby turned one month old today and celebrated with a visit from her great-grandparents and great aunt and uncle.  She is weighing in at around 9 lbs 3 oz, but we're not real certain about that because the scale actually weighed her at 10 lbs at one point.  Regardless, she's gaining weight well and seems to be a healthy girl.

Gabby's O-Face

It's amazing to see how different Gabby can look depending on the angle or just how she's turned.  Luckily, it seems that she's taking after her mom so far, so all her different looks are absolutely beautiful.  We're certainly enjoying her now but look forward to watching her grow up as well.

The rest of Gabby's umbilical cord fell off last Saturday, so we were able to give her her first bath last week.  She didn't like it at first but seems to be warming up to it.

Gabby had her two week checkup with the pediatrician today.  She was healthy and was up to 7 lbs 6 1/2 oz which is a 1/2 oz more than her birth weight.  The doctor and mom and dad were very happy with this as she gained about 1 1/2 oz per day since her last appointment.  Our next appointment will be at two months, and we're hoping it will be just as encouraging.
